USS ORISKANY DIVE PHOTOS - PAGE 2
Keith Mille was one of the first to dive the ship shortly after she his bottom. He took these photos using a Nikon D100 digital SLR, with a 12mm lens, in RAW format, enabling him to capture a wide field of view, with minimal distortion. Interestingly, the vessel was so new that most of the images you see were taken without a flash because of all the reflection off the whiteness of the steel. His impressions overall of the Oriskany is that it is hands down the best ‘wreck’ dive in the state of Florida. As you can see form the pictures, there’s plenty to see in open water, above 130 ft. As fish and invertebrates have begun to colonize her (and we already saw some schooling fish within 24 hours after sinking), the Oriskany will get only better as a premier fish and dive site for NW Florida.
